Enemy Swim Lake is a natural freshwater lake located in northeastern South Dakota, United States. It covers an area of approximately 3,000 acres and has a maximum depth of 24 feet.
The lake is popular for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and swimming. It is home to a variety of fish species including walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch.
Enemy Swim Lake is also significant to the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate tribe, who consider it a sacred site. The lake is said to have been the location of a battle between the tribes in the 19th century. Today, the tribe conducts a yearly spiritual ceremony at the lake known as the Enemy Swim Day Celebration.
